Service Trips
FCM facilitates short-term mission trips from the United States to South Sudan and Uganda in order spread the unconditional love of Christ and to expose people to the work God is doing through the ministry (Matthew 28:19). FCM trips focus in four specific areas, education, emergency relief, evangelism and orphan care. Serving on a trip with FCM will make an eternal impact in the lives of team members, as well as those that invest in individuals to go. It’s our goal to provide team members with an experience that enriches and challenges them spiritually, exposes them to the work that God is doing through our partners in South Sudan and Uganda, allows them to build relationships with the nationals, and is safe and secure, while also stretching their comfort zone. Mission teams will stay in Gulu, Uganda and commute to FCM’s Children Village, Abaana’s Hope, located about 45 minutes from Gulu. Your mission will be to establish relationships with Ugandans by showing the unconditional love of Christ. While you will be doing small jobs which could include children’s carnival, discipleship training, and teaching life skills, the people are far more important than getting any “job” done. The purpose is not to change or fix things but to have a humble heart of service. Though there will be set activities you will be taking part in, your schedule will constantly change as the spirit leads. Flexibility is the key to being in God’s presence and serving others. We want you to come to Abaana’s Hope to spread the gospel of Christ and leave with new relationships, brothers, sisters and a deeper love for your father, Jesus Christ.
